Iris v0.3.1 Weapon Charges, Custom Cursor and Polish
Weapon charges have been implemented. It was originally supposed to be more UI but that's been moved back for another (Hopefully next) update, along with music volume controls.
Right now, the implementation of weapon charges (or basically ammunition) is an automatically reloading system whenever you're not holding the fire button. I have some ideas in how to branch of this when I work on the upgrade systems which is the way it is now but UI is proving difficult. I whipped up a small and simple UI (which also felt horrendously painful to do coupling wise) but it works for now. Kinda. I think it can be hard to actively tell your charges while focusing in combat. So I hope to revisit that sometime.
Besides the major content update, bunch of smaller things have added/fixed too.
- Custom cursor! Mainly because my personal cursor was very visibly different in the gifs and videos I tried to take. Ehe-
- Iris' horns now properly has the white spots while in idle
- You can now press ESC to exit the weapon menu without walking away
- Slight boss rebalancing
- Pressing the dash button while in the weapon select area no longer spams opening and closing the menu
- Renamed weapons and rebalanced them to fit the weapon charges
- Second weapon now is visually smaller to fit the spam heavy feel
- Impact FX size now varies from weapons, smaller projectiles now result in smaller explosions
