v1.7 Iris gets More Feedback & Enemy Actions
Firstly, a second devlog! Surprising!
This update features me suffering trying to draw out Iris, and barely managing to eek out with an idle animation that I swapped in to check but decided to leave in anyways. I'm proud of it but also I'm a programmer, the process was painful in more ways than one. So you'll get to see it if you don't move, whiiiich wouldn't have been an issue last update but in this one, the enemy now fights back.
Basic backend for enemy attacks are being implemented, this current version is extremely primitive but I thought the step up of fun it provided was enough to warrant an update. So I hooked up some feedback for Iris, hitflash on getting hit, camera shakes and HP! There's no game over state but things can get wonky if you get hit.... enough. Shouldn't ever happen unless anyone decides to afk for some reason however.
Dashes don't provide immunity, but you don't really take much damage anyways at the moment, so I'll link it up in a later update (along with changing the afterimage to new Iris). I also want to do something about Iris attacking. As of right now, it's just hold left click, it doesn't have to be ammo per say, but I would like to provide a reason to not hold left click the entire game. Maybe something eventually like a heal when not shooting or slow down when shooting. Unsure for now but it's on the radar.
Finally, I think I want to open up a discord server or something to get more feedback. There's still work to be done for sure but its just something I'm considering.
